AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) is a year-long volunteer opportunity where you can work to help build the capacity of a local organization to carry out programs that fight poverty by recruiting and managing community volunteers, raising funds, and helping to manage projects. EMERGE VISTA members serve at area organization to expand job opportunities, develop financial assets, create trainings, etc for Minnesotans with criminal records.

The AmeriCorps VISTA program offers members a modest living allowance in exchange for a year of volunteer service at participating host sites. Positions will start around Sept 15 (exact date TBD) and will serve full-time (40 hours per week) for 365 days. (See left side bar for additional information on VISTA benefits).
