Jennifer Hanson, CFRE, MANM

Director of Development & Communications

Jennifer Hanson is the Director of Development & Communications for Emerge Community Development.  Prior to her role, Jennifer served as the Development Manager for the Minnesota Valley Humane Society in Burnsville and as the Marketing & Communications Manager at Episcopal Community Services in Minneapolis.

In her role at Emerge, Jennifer leads and manages the fundraising efforts for the agency as well as all marketing and communications activities.  Building strategic relationships with Emerge stakeholders is a key aspect of Jennifer’s position; as well as the oversight of agency marketing and communications to further engage the community in our work.

Jennifer attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, earning her BA in Journalism with minors in Business and Sociology.  More recently, Jennifer completed her master’s degree in the field of Nonprofit Management at the Hamline University School of Business and obtained the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation.
